The PEACH TREE Buck

Wow folks....I believe I have seen the biggest York County deer taken around these parts to date.

My friend Dennis , whom I got into Bowhunting , and hunting period about 3 years ago harvested a 12 point MONSTER BUCK yesterday morning from 15 yards ON THE GROUND!!!

The buck had an 18 1/2 inch inside spread with 12 points (6 x 6). The beams were 8 INCHES around at the thickest point. The tines were pretty long (but the palmation of the antlers kept them from being super long) It had 8 1/2 inches between the brow tines and was definately older than 4 1/2.

The hooves were cracked and worn, and he even had what seemed to be a few OLD gunshot injuries from the scar tissue on the hide etc.

Looks like the old Rhino 37 did him right as well as the Real Scent he was using (and the Wilson Game Calls executioner).

He arrived to his stand a little late, called me on the radio, and told me he had seen a big buck heading into the peach orchard across his travel route to his tree stand. He asked me what he should do and I told him to find a seat and start esterus calling.

He said that he did that for about 30 seconds and the buck walked right out of the orchard trees and he double lunged him from about 15 yards or less. Went 40 yards and dropped.

AMAZING BUCK for his first buck with a bow, and second buck in his hunting carreer. I told him he might as well quit now.
